How to Withdraw from Hyperliquid

Withdraw from Hyperliquid to a wallet or exchange: check your balance, account mode, asset, network, destination, fees, gas, and pending status.

Source check: October 3, 2026. Documentation review; independently tested behavior is not established by this check.

Scope: Official Hyperliquid onboarding, account-mode, withdrawal-help, HyperEVM, API-wallet, API-withdrawal, activation, and Circle CCTP documentation rechecked on 2026-10-03. Current account quotes, exchange deposit rules, and transactions were not tested; route and activation conflicts remain unresolved.

Sources reviewed (13) & freshness policy

Evaluated October 3, 2026 against the 90-day editorial window. This describes a dated source check, not current service operation. Builds do not renew it.

To withdraw from Hyperliquid, first identify the account balance and destination network. Confirm the receiving wallet or exchange accepts that exact asset on that network. HyperCore, HyperEVM, and internal transfers are different states, so “Hyperliquid” alone does not identify the route.

Use the official Hyperliquid interface to check the route, amount, fee, gas requirement, and estimate before confirming. These details can depend on your login and method.

Identify the balance you can withdraw

Open the account you intend to use and check its selected account or subaccount, asset, network, and available or withdrawable amount. Total balance and withdrawable balance can differ.

Account modes organize funds differently. Unified uses one balance per asset that can also support cross-margin positions; Manual/Standard keeps Spot and perps separate; Portfolio Margin unifies eligible assets. If the amount looks low, inspect balances and activity. Open cross-margin positions can use collateral, so a lower available figure alone does not prove funds disappeared. Check the account-specific withdrawal limit; this guide does not recommend changing leverage or closing positions to release funds.

If you log in by email or connect a wallet, use the account that controls the balance. A developer API wallet (agent wallet) is a separate signer approved by a master account, not the account whose balance you are checking. Do not assume a trading agent is the right signer for a withdrawal. Confirm account selection and authority in the official flow. Never give a private key, recovery phrase, password or authentication code to support. Enter an email login code only in the expected official sign-in flow, and never put a recovery phrase or private key into a website.

Choose the action that matches the destination

These actions solve different problems:

Withdraw to an external wallet or exchange

Choose Withdraw when the goal is an asset on an external blockchain. Select the asset and destination network shown by the official flow, then enter the destination that accepts that exact asset on that network. Before confirming, read the fee, any gas requirement, the net amount, and the displayed estimate. A wallet address that looks familiar does not prove the selected chain is right.

For an exchange, open its deposit instructions separately. Match the token version and network exactly, check any memo or tag requirement and deposit minimum, and compare the net amount after fees with the exchange’s crediting rules. Some exchanges support HYPE on HyperCore but not HYPE on HyperEVM. If the exchange does not list the route you see in the withdrawal screen, stop and ask the exchange through its official support channel before sending.

Send to another Hyperliquid account

Send moves an asset to another account on Hyperliquid. It does not withdraw to an external blockchain. The activity table may show “Send Spot” or “Send USDC (Perps Wallet).” Sending to an exchange that does not support the Hyperliquid network can leave the exchange unable to credit or return the funds.

Transfer between HyperCore and HyperEVM

An EVM ↔ Core transfer moves supported assets between Hyperliquid’s internal HyperCore and HyperEVM balances. It is not an external withdrawal. The HYPE needed for gas depends on the direction: the official guide says Core-to-EVM transfers need HYPE in HyperCore Spot, while EVM-to-Core transfers need HYPE on HyperEVM. Check the official interface and current asset route; do not copy a system or contract address from a guide.

Funds already on HyperEVM

A HyperEVM token is not automatically a HyperCore balance. For an external exit, verify which current route supports the token, network, and destination; it may involve a separate app or bridge with its own quote and gas. Developer CCTP documentation does not prove the retail interface offers that route. If unclear, check official support instead of assuming a transfer or swap converts the asset.

Swap an asset

A swap changes one asset into another within a trading or application route. It does not by itself send funds to an external wallet. Check the output asset and destination step separately; do not assume Hyperliquid automatically converts a withdrawn token to USDC.

Check the quote before confirming

The current onboarding guide says withdrawal fees can depend on the selected chain and method. Use the current route’s quote for any minimum, fee, gas location, net amount, and estimate. Do not rely on a universal fee, minimum, or arrival promise.

There is a method-specific developer figure worth keeping in context: the API reference for withdraw3 still says a $1 fee and approximately five minutes. That statement does not establish the price or timing for every withdrawal in the current app. Circle’s CCTP withdrawal instructions describe a separate API path and forwarding costs; their capability does not prove that a retail account or login method exposes that route. Follow the method shown in the official interface, not developer code samples.

The activation documents also differ on when a new HyperCore account’s one-time charge applies: Circle describes a first outbound action, while Hyperliquid describes the first transaction addressed to a new account. This guide does not state an exact activation deduction or timing. Read any activation line in the current quote and ask official support if it is unclear.

Before you authorize the action, compare the source, recipient, route name, and quote with the destination’s current instructions.

Terms and eligibility checkpoint: Read the current Hyperliquid terms and the terms of the exchange, bridge or other provider used by your route. Confirm that the service, asset and network are available to you and meet any account or verification requirements. If eligibility or route availability is unclear, stop and use that provider's official help. This guide does not establish individual eligibility or advise bypassing restrictions.

Before continuing in the official interface

Checklist marks stay on this page. They do not verify a deposit or withdrawal.

Confirm arrival and troubleshoot a delay

After confirming once, use Portfolio → Deposits & Withdrawals to check the action and status. If it is pending, compare it with the estimate in that withdrawal modal. Network congestion can extend processing. Do not submit a second withdrawal while the first is pending; first determine whether the original completed, failed, or remains in progress.

If the status is Completed, open the linked explorer and confirm the destination address and chain. Then check the receiving wallet’s selected network and token, or the exchange’s deposit history and required confirmations. A completed source action and an exchange’s crediting process are separate checkpoints.

If the status is Failed, use the official withdrawal FAQ to identify the provider responsible for that asset and route. It directs failed Unit-managed BTC, ETH and SOL withdrawals to Unit, an independent team. Follow the current official support link and resolve the failure before retrying.

If funds do not appear:

  1. Check the action label. A “Send” entry is an internal Hyperliquid transfer, not an external withdrawal. Confirm which account received it before taking another action.
  2. Check both HyperCore and HyperEVM. If the action was an EVM/Core transfer, inspect both balances in Portfolio. HYPE on one side is not automatically gas on the other.
  3. Check the destination details. Compare the explorer’s chain, token, and recipient with the exact deposit instructions. For an exchange, check the deposit history and its stated minimum or confirmation status.
  4. Check the source balance view. Account mode and collateral use can affect the amount shown as available. Compare the activity record and the relevant balance; do not infer loss from a lower available amount alone.
  5. Contact official support if status or destination remains unclear. Use the support links in Hyperliquid’s documentation, not an unsolicited direct message. Share only the transaction details support requests, such as network, asset, amount, time, and transaction hash. Never share signing secrets.

Resolve the original record before retrying; a second action will not repair it. Recovery depends on the route, asset, and recipient, and cannot be guaranteed.

Keep original history and check account, network and date coverage before relying on results. Use the Hyperliquid tax-records guide and inventory to record gaps and unresolved transfers.
